Julie Jones went to the Portland Rescue Mission every Sunday for three years with her high school Sunday school teacher. From then on, she had a passion for rescue mission work. So, she was thrilled when she learned she could use her Americorps award to pay for a nonprofit management degree at City Vision. That way, she could get practical Gospel-centered training without going into debt.
What Julie appreciated most about City Vision is the unity within diversity. Even though students and faculty have different backgrounds and doctrinal beliefs, all seek to follow God in life and work. Julie’s training at City Vision helped spur her on as she seeks to put God first.
“I know that my time at City Vision has helped me better prepare for [what] He has next for me.”
