Course Description
A directed course of study in a topic of special interest to the student related to their major.
Registering for Independent Study requires that you have submitted a proposal for independent study and have it approved before the term starts.
An independent study course is only available to students who are Seniors or above with at least a 3.5 GPA. It requires submitting a proposed syllabus for the course at least 4 weeks before the term starts. The syllabus must be reviewed and approved before the student can take the course. It is rare that students are able to develop an independent study project and syllabus that meets the requirements.
